Client Goals

This home lingered on the market for weeks with no offers, despite a hot real estate market. Feedback from potential buyers highlighted key concerns: a small, dated master bathroom, limited closet space, and a dark lower level. To address these issues and enhance the home’s overall appeal, we took it off the market and made strategic improvements to the interior and exterior. After completing the updates, we staged the space, transforming a vacant house into a warm, desirable home.

The result? It sold in just two weeks.

Scope of Project

The client needed a FULL interior/exterior STAGING of a vacant house, as well as a master bathroom expansion with addition of a walk-in closet, removal of a stair wall to create an open staircase to the lower level, replacement of single exterior door with two sets of French doors, custom built-ins in the lower level, and color palette selection.

Client Goals

The clients loved their turn- of-the-century home, but previous renovations left the house dated with little original detailing. The goal was to create a more open, modern layout with improved flow and increased natural light while maintaining its traditional roots. Clients had five needs: room for an island in their galley kitchen; a more traditional, open stairway; no separation between the hallway and living room, and an updated lower level with custom built-ins.

The result? A more open first-level floor plan, a new master ensuite with a large walk-in-closet, a modernized lower level and a new, beautiful open two story staircase.

Scope of Project

We remove a 20' interior wall that separated the living room & hallway to increase flow & spaciousness. We removed the stair wall to create on open stairwell and replaced a plain two story staircase that better suited the home's grandeur and tied into the renovated lower level. We removed the wall between the galley kitchen and breakfast room to create a kitchen island. Because the existing cabinets were custom hardwood, we decided to repurpose the upper cabinets from the wall that was removed and use them as the base of the new kitchen island. Cabinets were painted and lighting was added.

Client Goals

The clients were ready to turn their summer home into an Airbnb while not in use by the family. Each space needed to be decluttered, organized, and de-personalized. Client wanted help choosing a coordinating color palette for the home, replacing slip covers on existing sofas, and creating accent walls in three bedrooms. House was then staged for photos that we provided for use on Airbnb.

The result? A successful five star Airbnb.

Scope of Project

An armoire in the master bedroom was removed to create better flow; linens were replaced. Existing furniture was thinned and additional pieces were recommended for purchase that enhanced the space, improving the layout design. Accent walls in bedrooms were designed and installed. Home was styled using client's existing accessories with a few extra recomnded purchases.

Before and After: Master Bedroom

We needed to improve the flow around the bed so we removed the armoire. To add detail, we added a custom made headboard in a soft blue wave pattern and highlighted the wall with octopus arms extending from the sea. New bed linens and roman shades created a crisp, airy space. Lastly, a small desk and lucite chair created a workspace-- important with an Airbnb-- with minimal footprint in the room.
